Two apartments, one house
Both with their own bathroom. The studio sleeps two and has a kitchenette. The apartment sleeps four and has a separate kitchen.

About us
Welcome to the ReesL
A farmhouse of around 400 years in the typical Black Forest style. The characteristic roof, traditional construction, a quiet spot of its own. The house carries the story of this region and pairs it with modern comfort.
Spruce on the walls and ceilings, warm light in the evening, floors that creak when you walk across them barefoot. We renovated what needed renovating. The rest was allowed to stay.
How to reach us
Hofsgrund sits at 1,075 m above Oberried. The last few kilometres wind up the mountain, and after that it is quiet.
By car
About 30 minutes from Freiburg via Kirchzarten and Oberried. From the south via Todtnau and the Notschrei pass. The parking space belongs to the house and is free.
There is snow up here in winter. Winter tyres are necessary, snow chains rarely are.
By train and bus
Take the train to Freiburg, then the bus via Oberried to Hofsgrund. Alternatively ride the Schauinslandbahn cable car up and walk from the summit station.
Up here buses and trains run less often than down in the valley. Check the current timetables before you travel and your arrival will line up nicely.
Around the house
Hiking trails start right at the door and the Schauinsland summit is within walking distance. In winter there are lifts and cross-country tracks in Hofsgrund, in summer mountain bike routes down into the valley.
There are inns in Hofsgrund and nearby, and for groceries it is a few minutes downhill to Oberried.
Visitor's tax and guest card
The visitor's tax of the municipality of Oberried is collected on site and is not included in the rent. In return you receive the KONUS guest card, which lets you travel free on buses and trains throughout the Black Forest, and on the Schauinslandbahn at a reduced rate.

You will receive the instructions for the key handover by message before you arrive.
Two in the Studio ReesL, four in the Apartment ReesL. Both have their own bathroom.
No, unfortunately we cannot accommodate dogs.
Arrival from 3 pm, departure by 10 am. We clean between stays, which is why we keep to these times.
Please keep it quiet between 10 pm and 7 am. The house stands on its own, but it carries its history in wood and masonry, and you can hear that.
Not inside. Outside gladly, there is an ashtray by the bench.
Dishes washed, waste separated into the bins in the kitchen, windows closed. That is enough.
